Alabama’s season, once promising as one of the top teams in the country, has taken a hit after losing two of their last three games, leaving them fighting to secure a playoff spot. Despite widespread criticism from fans and media over their recent performances, the coaching staff appears optimistic, noting positive progress in practice this week as they prepare to host Missouri. During Wednesday’s practice, receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard spoke to the media, sharing insights on the team’s performance and highlighting standout players from the week.
“I was most impressed by [Tyler] Booker. Booker had a fire in him all week.
He is all over every single player on this team’s rear end every single play. Getting in their face, pushing the tempo…” @CoachShephard on @iamtylerbooker pic.twitter.com/buoeGwdINP

“I was most impressed by [Tyler] Booker,” Shephard shared. “Booker brought incredible energy this week, pushing everyone on the team hard every single play. He was right up in their faces, driving the pace and reminding them, ‘This is the standard.'” Alabama’s playoff chances remain alive, with ESPN’s FPI giving them a 43% chance of making the 12-team field. A win against a ranked opponent this weekend would be a strong boost, potentially setting the Tide up to finish their regular season on a high note.
