Taron Johnson intercepted Joe Flacco’s opening pass and returned it 23 yards for a touchdown, setting the tone as the AFC East-leading Buffalo Bills defeated the Indianapolis Colts 30-20. Josh Allen and James Cook each added rushing touchdowns for the Bills (8-2), who notched their fifth straight win and their first victory in Indianapolis since 1998. Allen completed 22 of 37 passes for 280 yards, threw two interceptions, and ran eight times for 50 yards, while Cook recorded 80 yards on 19 carries.
Flacco, starting in place of benched quarterback Anthony Richardson, struggled with turnovers, throwing three interceptions and fumbling once. He finished 26 of 35 for 272 yards and two touchdowns, as the Colts (4-6) dropped their third consecutive game. Jonathan Taylor led Indianapolis with 114 rushing yards on 21 carries, and rookie Adonai Mitchell recorded a season-high 71 receiving yards on six catches.
The game featured numerous momentum swings and turnovers. Just after Johnson’s pick-6, Flacco was intercepted again, leading to a quick Bills field goal and a 10-0 advantage. The Colts responded, with Taylor’s 59-yard run setting up a Matt Gay field goal, and Flacco later connecting with Tyler Goodson for a 2-yard touchdown to tie the score at 10. Another Allen interception led to a Colts field goal, giving Indy a 13-10 lead.
Allen soon reclaimed the lead for Buffalo with a 13-yard touchdown run, his 57th career rushing score, tying O.J. Simpson for second-most in franchise history. Tyler Bass added two field goals, and Cook’s late 2-yard touchdown run sealed the win.
