JUST IN: Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams confirm a flip Decommit to Tennessee for a shocking reason which lead Kalen DeBoer to make a tough decision

Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams made his debut on the “Hey Coach” radio show with Kalen DeBoer on Wednesday night, showcasing an unexpected color in Tuscaloosa: orange.

Williams had his fingernails painted orange, a look he also sported on Saturday while signing autographs for Alabama fans before the game against Tennessee at Neyland Stadium.

During the show, radio host Chris Stewart highlighted Williams’ orange nails, joking that it would “never be my choice.” He added that the color might serve as motivation during practice that week. In response, Williams said, “Ain’t no doubt, ain’t no doubt. A couple of the guys got fired up at me because they thought it was for the opposing team. Yeah, nah.”

Williams, a freshman, shared in September why he often paints his nails and recounted the story again on Wednesday.

“Starting my sophomore year of high school, my little sister really got into doing nails,” Williams explained. “At first, she practiced on my mom, and then she wanted to try it on me. I’m comfortable in my own skin, so it didn’t bother me. The first time, it was just clear polish. Then it evolved as she gained confidence. Now she’s improved so much that she tries to come up here before the game to do them for me. She just loves it.”
