HUGE BOOST: Gators LB commit another key man over Kentucky

The Gators hosted over 15 top prospects last weekend during their 48-20 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats. Among the visitors was 2025 linebacker commit Myles Johnson, who was one of four commits from the 2025 class in attendance for his first win at The Swamp this season. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound three-star prospect from Alabama, committed to Florida since July, feels even more confident about his commitment after connecting with the coaching staff and experiencing the game atmosphere.

“I still feel good about it, and this win made me feel even better,” Johnson said. “Staying in touch with the coaches and getting a sense of who they are gives me more confidence.”

Johnson was particularly impressed by the crowd’s energy and the defense’s intensity. “The atmosphere was incredible from start to finish,” Johnson noted. “The team came out ready, and the crowd’s energy grew as we took the lead. It was really exciting.”

He also admired the defense’s strong performance against Kentucky, noting a shift in focus and teamwork. “They’re more connected, with fewer mental mistakes,” Johnson said. “They’re always active, but tonight, they really put it together. They played like a team ready to prove themselves, and they did that tonight.”

Johnson plans to return to Gainesville for more games this season but is uncertain about visiting other schools. Currently, Georgia and Ole Miss are the main teams still pursuing him.
