In Head Coach Mario Cristobal’s second season, the Miami Hurricanes have secured bowl eligibility by earning their sixth win, a 39-38 victory over Cal on Saturday night.
MIAMI MOVES TO 6-0 (2-0 ACC)!!!!

The key difference this season is that Miami is undefeated and ranked in the top 10 after six weeks, raising expectations for which bowl—or something even bigger—the Hurricanes might reach. As each week passes, their aspirations continue to grow.
So far, two teams are 6-0 and bowl eligible:
– Indiana (yes, really)
– Miami
It’s been a long road, but Cristobal has finally built Miami’s roster to the level he’s envisioned. Now, with the team still unbeaten halfway through the season, everything is still on the table. Every game is another step toward an ACC Championship and beyond.
And before you come after me for this, remember that there are teams who aren’t bowl eligible and may not even get there—looking at you, Florida State. So let’s be thankful for what we’ve got, because it could be worse.
In previous seasons, Miami has played in mid-tier bowls like the Camping World Bowl or the Sun Bowl. But with six wins already under their belt, Miami is aiming higher this time. Undefeated and bowl eligible, the Hurricanes have their sights set on a major bowl—potentially a New Year’s Six or even the College Football Playoff, which would be their first appearance since the 2004 Orange Bowl.
It’s an exciting time, but the job isn’t done yet. Keep grinding, guys.
